Water stains, cracks, holes and patches that never quite disappeared: drywall is one of the most common calls we get, and one of the easiest jobs to do badly. We cut damage back to solid material, put in new board, then tape, mud, skim-coat and sand until the repair reads as one flat surface with the rest of the wall or ceiling.
That goes for bathroom ceilings over the shower, ceilings stained by a leak upstairs or a roof leak, and walls that took a hit from a door or a move.

Water-damaged ceiling repair
A bay-window ceiling with water damage. We opened it up, cut out the damaged drywall, put in a new section, then taped, skimmed and sanded it until it blended back into the ceiling.
Shower ceiling drywall repair
A section of bathroom ceiling over the shower, cut out and replaced with new drywall, then taped, skim-coated and finished so it blends in next to the exhaust fan.
Questions
Do I need to fix the leak first?
Yes. A patch over an active leak will stain and fail again. Get the source fixed, let it dry, and then we repair the drywall.
Can you match my ceiling texture?
We feather the repair into the surrounding surface so it blends. If the ceiling has a special texture, Larry will look at it on the walk-through and tell you how close a match is realistic.
How long does a ceiling patch take?
Joint compound needs to dry between coats, so most patches take more than one visit. Larry will give you the timeline with your estimate.
